“My name is Luis and I am from Seville. I work as a self-employed worker in the construction sector, and my Opel Grandland X with PureTech engine was essential for my job.

I bought it new in 2019, thinking that a modern and robust car would be a safe investment. But barely reaching 45.000 km, it started showing problems. The engine would overheat frequently, and there was a persistent metallic noise when accelerating. At first, I thought it was a minor issue, perhaps a maintenance matter.

This problem is not minor; it is a design flaw that affects thousands of people, many of them like me, who work hard to make a living. The compensation I seek is fair and necessary to cover my losses and the depreciation of my vehicle, which is now worth much less than what I paid. I am willing to fight until the end for justice to be served, not just for me, but for all those who have suffered because of this defective engine.“
